Kinsman/Kins... 11 Posts | Hey Kin! I've been running daily skirmishes & instances specifically building a team from kindred or least mostly, so just putting this out there to publicise it a little more! I firmly believe that fighting together in a team and working together to achieve goals goes a long way to fostering that great team-spirit that makes this game truly worthwhile. It doesn't matter what level you are or what class you are, if you're a lower level someone will be there to show you the ropes & if you're a higher level, if would be great to step in to help some of us lower levels. I daresay I've been the one to benefit the most from these as I've picked up a lot of good tips from players that arn't totally noobsauce, like myself! But everyone seems to enjoy them! There's no set time but it tends to be in the evening, so fire me a PM or a /tell in game, if you want to know more. See you in the action. Pro. |
Kinsman/Kins... 4 Posts | I think it's time that we resurrected this idea, as it's a chance to learn to function more as a team and less as a group of individuals.
When would people be up for attempting a skirmish or two? These are the best way to learn the values of teamwork and how we could all benefit one another, while hopefully gaining a few levels into the bargain.
Since the last time I attempted such a group with the kin, it was a long process, as we all ran off towards targets, with little-to-no communication, we need tactics and preferably someone to shout them out and co-ordinate. On top of that, we would also need a good balance of characters - tanks, healers and support give a good balance, as you all know. Talk through the next fight, work out who will be healing whom, which way you work through the additional mobs and try to plan for the not-so-obvious.
I believe that we can take things forward, with a little discussion. What say you? |
Leader 78 Posts | sure thing, it is nice idea. There are instances there that require little or no tactics, but there are quite some you will not be able to complete without high level of cooperation. if there is enough interest from kin we shall shedulde events helping to learn propper approach to such challanges. |
Kinsman/Kins... 4 Posts | Personally, I feel that I would benefit most from taking my Captain, Brevon to the field - he's got a decent level at present and I think that his RP temperament is more concise with being a leader of men, as opposed to someone who is easily led. |
3 Posts | I like the idea, PUGS are one thing Kinship runs are great. Having been around for a while I am willing to help out like Harondred said there are a few of good training instances out there. If I could give you one piece of advice if you want to learn to fellow together try and do it with players that are around you own level having a overpowered (and believe me 95s are way overpowered) in your group you may not have the chance to do your thing. I have a few chars around 50 so if players are interested we could do a CD/URU run and that would be good for some deeding as well.

Leader 78 Posts | I also have quite spread of characters to join such runs, we need to set a date and time of such event (one schedulded and if there is response few on demand so we can cover different timezones). Last time we did isengard deed, gatecrasher with only kin members in team...and the feeling was great. As it comes to learning cooperation in group and understanding your role Samborg is great instance and it has one major advantage, everyone above lvl20 can have access to it. |
